A proper throwback to the golden era of Pozo!Slalom races and wave competitions were held, at Pozo Beach. In those days, double loops were starting to be attempted during competitions. Vidar Jensen was the avant-garde for performing (attempting) them on the professional circuit. Bojrn Dunkerbeck (a then resident of Gran Canaria) wound up winning both the slalom and wave competitions for men, while Nathalie Lelivre did the same for women.
