On Saturday, we sent John Carter over to the Azure waters of Calshot Spit with his cameras, a strong coffee and strict instructions not to fall off the boat. He returned with memory cards full of action and half cut after dipping a little too heavily into the free beer!Photos: John CarterThree one-hour races later, competitors were all smiles, although many were looking worse for wear after handling 25 knots and multiple gybes for that solid hour of endurance. The conditions were just what the doctor ordered Sunshine, wind in abundance, and perfectly flat water that was practically begging for high octane blasting.Everyone left a winner and it was brilliant to see such a strong turnout for this epic gathering of windsurfers and wing foilers. Huge shoutout to Nik Baker / K66 and Duotone for sponsoring the event and to The SUP Company for hosting and generously providing pizza and beer. And yes, those beers? Absolute nectar after a day of high-speed madness on the water.Calshot proved itself once again as a top-tier venue: loads of parking, epic facilities and epic conditions. Sparks flew, wakes clashed and bragging rights were earned.
