- CISURFBOARDS.COMTom Carroll & Britt Test Ride The SolutionSoft, small waves happen more often than not. The Solution is built for them.Designed by Britt Merrick, this step-down shortboard is meant to bring speed, glide, and performance back into everyday conditions. Recently, Britt put it to the test himself at URBNSURF Melbourne alongside Tom Carroll and Luca Elder in a session with the Onboard Store crew. What Is The Solution? The Solution is what you reach for when your normal shortboard isnt cutting it in weak surf.Britt says it best: We all have that problem the waves arent giving me what I want, but I wish I had a board that was.Its designed as a true step-downsomething you can ride smaller, generate speed easily, and still surf properly. How It Felt in the WaterWith Britt, Tom, and Luca all riding different sizes, the feedback lined up fast.Tom on first impressions: It felt zippy instantly almost zero effort and I still held a lot of speed.Luca after his first wave: I connected instantly putting almost zero effort off the bottom and it still carried speed.Even with the wide, round tail, the board didnt feel sticky or tracky. Britt pointed out thats been the surprise:You think its going to get skippy or not hold but that just hasnt been the experience.Britt also called out something you dont fully see in a pool:This thing is a crazy wave catcher. The Design in ShortThe Solution keeps things simple but effective: Fuller outline and round tail for speed in weak waves Single to double concave to keep it lively New rocker and outline that work off the front foot or neutralBritt built it after chasing a board that sat below his everyday shortboardand it clicked within a few versions. How to Ride It Ride it about 2 shorter than your Better Everyday Works as a quad, thruster, or 2+1 Best in small, soft, everyday surfStock Dimensions:Bottom LineThe Solution does exactly what it saysit solves the problem of below-average waves. Its fast, forgiving, and makes the kind of days youd normally skip worth paddling out.Watch + Learn MoreFull breakdown by Britt:https://youtu.be/0ihuErX36gkExplore The Solution:https://cisurfboards.com/products/the-solution0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 536 Views
- CISURFBOARDS.COMIntroducing: the SolutionThe struggle of lackluster surf is real. Thats why Britt Merrick created the SolutionCIs most adaptable small-wave shortboard yet.We were hearing from friends on the East Coast that they needed something grovely, even more grovely than Better Everyday, explains Britt. And I felt the same based off the waves we have here most of the year. Designed for days when the surf is soft and unmotivating, The Solution blends glide, paddle power, and versatility, so youll want to paddle out even when the conditions are less than desirable.A fuller outline with a rounded tail increases planing area and drive through flat sections, while a single-to-generous double concave keeps the board quick, lively, and free underfoot. Britts new rocker and outlinedeveloped during an R&D trip to Mexicomake the Solution friendly for both neutral and front-foot stances, letting you generate speed even in the weakest of waves. The Solution is a step-down shortboard we suggest be ridden 2 shorter than your Better Everyday dims, which puts it perfectly at the lower end of your quiver range. Straight away, the team noticed the solid glide and paddling in flat water, and off the front foot the speed was felt instantly. Even for big guys like Jacko Baker. The five-fin setup lets you dial in its riding characteristics to your liking. Reef Heazlewood called it the best board hes ever had in small waves, and hes running his as a thruster. add Britt. Ive been riding it mostly as a quad, but its equally fun as a thruster or 2+1 depending on the conditions.Whether youre chasing glide, speed, or flow, the Solution delivers performance no matter how weak the conditions are that you pull up on. Adding to that are playful details, like Bigfoot, aliens, UFOs, and more, hidden in the logo art and custom tails patches, which adds character to a board built for serious small-wave surfing. The Solution has already landed in a surf shop near you, or you can check it out here: https://cisurfboards.com/products/the...0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 686 Views

- CISURFBOARDS.COMRAW SESSION: Dumpster Diver 2 (Rolo)Rolo (Rolando Montes) enjoying an easygoing day in Bali on the Dumpster Diver 2, built with Spine-TekAbout the Dumpster Diver 2: The idea for this board came when Dane Reynolds was riding his original Dumpster Diver while filming the Out of the Rafters edit for Chapter 11 last year. He was tripping on how tiny and short the Dumpster Diver felt and wanted to build a longer, modernized version that still tapped into the magic of the original. The DD2 features a wider nose and tail, increased nose and tail rocker, and a more subtle single concave. These updatesalong with other refinementsallow the board to perform across a wider range of conditions and let you surf as hard as you think you do. Dane also designed a dedicated fin set for the DD2, offering a slightly 2+1 feel and working well across other designs. Ride the DD2 1-2" shorter than your Better Everyday.Find more on the Dumpster Diver 2 here:https://cisurfboards.com/products/dum...0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 997 Views
- CISURFBOARDS.COMRAW Session Mikey February x Twin Pin x HawaiiWatch Mikey February sink into a long, cruisy raw session on the North Shore of Oahu. He was there filming the final episode of Stabs Acid Test and slipped away for a palette-cleanser with his Twin Pin that knows so well. This board has become his benchmark for feel. Cameos from Michael and Mason Ho, Kuio Young and Shilo Tennberg.About Mikeys Twin Pin:This versatile twin-finned pintailshaped by Britt Merrick with Mikeydelivers all the speed and freedom of a twin with enough hold and projection that you wont miss a third fin. Built as an all-rounder, the Twin Pin shines from everyday surf to double-overhead walls.A flat-to-roll-to-vee bottom keeps the board buttery yet dependable. Low rails mean most riders go about 1/8" thicker than their standard shortboard. It pairs best with Britts custom twin template, sitting between a keel and upright for the right mix of drive, hold, and maneuverability.Mikey (normally on a 6'0" shortboard) likes his Twin Pins at 5'9" and 5'11". Dane Gudauskas rides his at shortboard length for Trestles, and Britt prefers his a bit longer for Rincon.More on the Twin Pin:https://cisurfboards.com/products/twin-pinRecommended fins: the BMT template, designed with Mikey for this board:https://cisurfboards.com/products/britt-merrick-twin-fin0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 695 Views
